AFESIP CAMBODIA Legal department works very much at the core of the trafficking issue. The legal department aims to find justice and protect the rights of victims of sexual exploitation.
This is undertaken by submission of commentaries on draft laws, polices and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the institutional level. It does this by speaking out to the media on legal and law enforcement gaps and needs in regard to trafficking and related issues. AFESIP Legal Department provides representation and a real chance to find justice on an individual level.
AFESIP Legal Department has composed a Model Law on Suppression of Human Trafficking for Sexual Exploitation. This will be used as a campaigning Instrument to highlight ideal Standards in anti-trafficking legislation that every country should aspire to reach. The longer term aim is to encourage and promote legal development in every field directly or indirectly related to victim protection and law enforcement.
