On the same day when Phnom Penh Tomdy Center held this event, Siem Reap Center led by Mr. Ly Monirath, manager organized this important day as well. The center invited provincial authorities namely Mr. Boeung Pich, Deputy Director of Siem Reap Provincial Department of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation; Mrs. Heng Khoim, Deputy Director of Siem Reap Provincial Women’s Affairs; Major Mr. Mey Vuthy, Vice-Director of Anti-Human Trafficking & Juvenile Protection Office and other local village and commune authorities and NGO representatives from LAC (Legal Aid of Cambodia) and LICADHO to participate. Also attended at the meeting were staff and residents of the center, in all 66 participants.

To start with, Mr. Monirath expressed his thanks to the local authorities for their honorable presence and their valuable time to attend this event. He recalled the past history relating to the struggle by the women for their equal rights to men and the birth of the international women day.

In the end of his speech, he wished all the residents good health in order to well catch the new knowledge.

Next, all the guests as panel members were invited to deliver short speeches of which they encouraged the residents to try their best to attentively follow vocational skills training and other classes provided by the center and hope for their bright future after reintegration to communities and society.

Lastly, all residents were distributed a gift prepared by AFESIP Cambodia. Next program was popular games and dancing.
